Sectional Title and Community Schemes

About Sectional Titles

Sectional Title, as a form of property ownership, has been around since 1973 when the ‘first generation’ Sectional Titles Act came into effect.  Since then it has become an increasingly popular form of title, to the point where some statistics show that almost 50% of all home ownership is now in the form of sectional title or some other form of ‘community scheme’

Our main focus is to offer a service to the sectional title industry in terms of which performance (results) and costs effectiveness is paramount.

The sole reason for the decay of certain Bodies Corporate and Home Owners’ Associations is the non-payment of levies and the failure to adequately recover those levies from recalcitrant owners.

We offer various legal and practical solutions to combat and reduce the level of arrear levies in schemes.

Our solutions are moulded around the procedures prescribed by the rules of the various courts and the Sectional Title Schemes Management Act and
Community Schemes Ombud Services Act .

To assist us in streamlining this process driven department we have acquired the latest technology and legal software available on the market which enables us to provide our clients with instant progress reports on individual matters as well as providing consolidated reports per building.

Our track record has proven that we are able to provide effective solutions to the extent where we are the preferred service providers for many bodies corporate and main stream managing agents.

We offer the following Sectional Title and Community Schemes’ services:

- Levy Collections
- Drafting and/or Vetting of Management and Conduct Rules
